Who we are

Blue ID, based in Guelph, Ontario, specializes in helping financial organizations transform their transactional documents into meaningful relationship-building tools.

Incorporated in 2011, Blue ID is a new company with a proven track record spanning several decades. Blue ID focuses exclusively on the financial sector, helping organizations streamline and personalize to create a winning combination of lower costs and more effective customer communications.

Blue ID’s heritage dates back to pioneering work in the early 1990s by two of Blue ID’s founding partners Cam Shapansky and Brent Klassen, who were then with Information Design Works, a traditional marketing agency.  Over the years, this team continued bringing forward leading-edge design ideas and pushing the capabilities of document production technologies.  Blue North Strategies was founded in 2002 with a focus on both financial and fundraising communications. In 2011, the award-winning financial communications division—serving major banks, investment firms, insurance companies, and other financial organizations—was formally incorporated as Blue ID. True to its legacy, Blue ID continues to lead the financial communications industry as today it explores new digital frontiers for highly variable documents.
